Athletics

Athletics are an important part of our mission to develop the whole person.  Our athletics program instills life skills such as work ethic, morals, leadership, team work, dealing with competition, sportsmanship and other qualities that student-athletes can carry with them throughout their lives. While the St. Bernardine of Siena sports program is competitive, it is also our philosophy to include as many students as is possible. Therefore, there is a non-cut policy for all sports.

St. Bernardine’s is a member of the Valley Catholic Sports Program that includes interscholastic competition between Catholic schools in the San Fernando Valley.  Students are eligible for play beginning in the fifth grade.  Our teams participate in the following sports.

Girls

Volleyball
Basketball
Softball

Boys

Flag Football
Basketball
Volleyball

St. Bernardine Parish also offers athletic opportunities for students in all grades in the following sports:

Swim
Track

Our school mascot is the Saber.

My Thoughts about St. Bernardine

I go to Catholic school and I have many blessings. God has given me the gift of life, but St. Bernardine's has given me the gift of learning.
